“A playful show of fast and funny improv”
Come to this show for all of your fast and funny entertainment! This performance debuts the Winnipeg Improv Festival’s short-form ensemble. Under the direction of Caity Curtis and Jesse Bergen, this group explores the good old-fashioned world of improvised games, made famous by TV shows such as Whose Line Is It Anyway?.
The second half features a set directed by Toronto’s Ken Hall (The Umbrella Academy, Second City, Conan) featuring the Winnipeg Improv Festival Ensemble.

“A celebration and culmination of everything improvisation can be!”
The very last show of the festival is sure to bend your perspective on improv. The first set features “Mouths Wide Shut” from Seattle’s Unexpected Productions. An entire improv set with no words, only physical comedy. We will wrap up the festival with our very own Festival Ensemble showcasing a new improv format, and then we will say goodbye until next year.
Wed, Oct 15th at 7 pm
“A sampler platter of mini-improv delights”
Start the festival off right with a good-old-fashioned improv smorgasbord. From short-form improv to nostalgic genre work, this show will truly have something for everyone. Featuring players from Tectonic Improv, the Winnipeg Improv Festival Ensemble, and others.

Turned (Zombies and spooky stories)
“Terrifying and Hila-rifying!”
This night will be an homage to all things scary in time for spooky season! Please use your best judgment, and then go ahead and get your tickets to this show. We will listen to scary short stories written by YA author Colin Deane to improvise never-before-seen theatre. The second act features Winnipeg’s own Club Soda Improv performing “Turned”, a zombie-themed romp exploring what may happen if there were a zombie virus infecting the world. Scary meets funny. In fact, terrifying meets hila-rifying!
Improv Classes and Workshops!
There will be a BIPOC Improv workshop at the Gas Station Arts Centre on Sun, Oct 19th.
12:15 to 1:45 PM with Obadiah Freeman (Seattle)
But improv classes and workshops are happening all year long! Click on the image for improv class details.
